The Ardara Agricultural Show returns to Ardara GAA Grounds on Saturday 8th August 2026. A fantastic day out for all the family showcasing the best in local farming, livestock, crafts and community. A day not to be missed!
Narin Beach in Portnoo is one of Ireland's finest Blue Flag beaches. In August, enjoy swimming, surfing, kayaking, beach games and stunning views of Inishkeel Island (accessible at low tide). The area is also great for golf at Narin & Portnoo Golf Club, one of Ireland's most scenic links courses.
Portnoo on Donegal's Wild Atlantic Way is a top destination for surfing, swimming and water sports throughout the summer. The Blue Flag beach at Narin is one of Ireland's finest. August is peak season with activities, local events and stunning coastal scenery all along this stretch.
The Wild Atlantic Festival returns to Ardara from 3rd–7th August 2026. A multi-day celebration of music, culture and craic in the heart of south Donegal on the Wild Atlantic Way. Programme coming soon — watch this space!
